There are so many fresh tracks released this month, but I've picked these 10 tracks that made me sing along and dance to the rhythm and beat to these musicians products. P.S. the songs I'm about to list down are in no particular order of what's the best and not, because all of them are great!
1. LIKE I CAN by SAM SMITH
Starting things off with one of the breakout artist of the year, Sam pours his heart out as he tries to warn the girl (or dude, yes, he's gay,but it doesn't matter) that "He'll never love you like I can". Like I Can starts with a genius lyric intro "He can be a sinner or a gentleman", I mean tell me about it! The chorus and the powerful vocals and melody make this a great single for Sam as the year ends.
2. THE NIGHTS by AVICII
Again the pop prince of EDM is back with folk like production and wants to make listeners to get up and dance all the way.
3. LEVELS (PALM TREES) by FAR EAST MOVEMENT
YES!!! My fave Pop/Rap/EDM group is back with their new EP call K Town Riot (Only 6 tracks though) and one of the songs that is featured is called "Levels". I'm in love with this song because it makes me feel so fly and when I close my eyes it's like I'm in Cali. This is such a dope track and the boys are back with it again!
4.DRAGON by MIRIAM BRYANT
You may heard her first in Zedd's tracks such as "Find You" and "Clarity", now with her first single she sings her heart out that she'll be your Dragon in the night. Oh, it's such a beautifully written and magical song perfect for every time you feel triumphant.
5.TALKING BODY by TOVE LO
She's the one who is singing the dynamic dance floor single with Alesso "Heroes" and not to mention the intense indie-ballad "Habits (Stay High)". Now this song talks about one thing, and it's SEX! The melody, vibe and feeling are so cool and not to mention the lyrics of the chorus! "Now if we're talking body, you've got a perfect one so put it on me, If you love me right, We'll fuck for life, on and on and on..." I know what you're thinking and you may doubt listening to this one, but it must be listened!
6. OUTSIDE by CALVIN HARRIS ft. ELLIE GOULDING
I was so stoked when I found out they collaborated once again for Calvin's new album and the song is so good! Just like "I Need Your Love", the song is powerful, breathtaking and of course, club worthy! If I would rate this song, it'll be a 10!
7. CAN'T STOP DANCIN' by BECKY G
Becky from the block released her follow up single after the smash summer hit "Shower". Now this slow but "makes you want to swing your hips" song is super catchy just like Shower with those "La Da Dee's", here Becky sings and chants "Ayae Ya Yae Ya Yeee.... I Just Can't Stop Dancin'". Overall the song is great and it makes you want to think that you're in a bonfire at a beach with your bae and friends.
8.BABY DON'T LIE by GWEN STEFANI
The Holla back girl is back with more hella shit! Again, this track is so catchy as Gwen sings the chorus "Baby Don't, Baby Don't, Baby Don't Lie... I don't want to fight no longer". This super cool chick doesn't even age! Just look at her in the video, she still looked like her last ten years ago. But the best part of the song is those drum beats it feels so tribal like and when you watch the music video, it's as if you're Gwen walking with awesome graphics moving around behind you.
9. ALL YOU HAD TO DO IS STAY by TAYLOR SWIFT
Whatever "Shake It Off", "AYHTDIS" is so good and way more better, especially those parts when the word "STAY!" comes up. In Taylor's new album "1989", this is by far my favorite and I could listen to it all day. I'm not a "Swiftie" but this is a hands down to Tay-Tay. (hahaha)
10. YELLOW FLICKER BEAT by LORDE
With the Mockingjay Part 1 opening last November 24, this is by far my favorite soundtrack from the three films of the Hunger Games franchise. When I knew that Lorde is going to sing the soundtrack I was surprised and excited as well. When I heard it, I laughed at the intro which is all humming, but when it comes to the chorus, SLAY! is the word for it. The song really captured the world of Katniss Everdeen and the title screams "girl on fire" as well. This is now also my favorite song from Lorde, so move over "Royals" and "Team", Yellow Flicker Beat is now the true royal.
