The boys are back and I am so happy to hear new jaw dropping, head banging and fist pumping music from them! With their sixth studio album titled as "American Beauty/American Psycho", here's what I think about the beauty and craziness about this fresh new record!

Now with the tracks on the album, the first song is called "Irresistible" and my, my, the opening track is such a head banger! Pure Punk ass rock itself and it wants you to scream your lungs out whenever the chorus comes. And bassist Pete Wenz said "When I think of "Irresistible", it brings this image to my head, whether it's fictional or real, of Sid and Nancy in an alley, garbage raining down on them in an eternal spiral of romance and poison. Sometimes it's hard not to love what can hurt us the most."
Next is the title track "American Beauty/American Psycho" which at first I really didn't like it, but after listening to it constantly, I was actually having fun listening to it. The music video was released last December 15, 2014 and it was a really weird video but with a deep message. ( See video below)
Next is the band's first single "Centuries" which I love at first listen! The message and the lyrics of the song is genius! With the chorus "Some legends are told/Some turn to dust or to gold/But you will remember me, remember me for centuries/ And just one mistake/Is all it will take, we'll go down in history/Remember me for centuries". Even the music video which was Gladiator themed was awesome as well.
The semi emotional pop ballad "The Kids Aren't Alright" might be one of my faves in the album. Vocalist, Patrick Stump's voice is clearly astounding and I can feel my head swaying from left to right whenever I'm listening to this track. The lyrics are so honest as well, no doubt "I'm not passive, but aggressive/Take note, it's not impressive".
"Uma Thurman" is also another favorite of mine! I was so stoked to know about this song just because I'm a little obsessed with ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Kill Bill’ actress. With the catchy hook “She wants to dance like Uma Thurman”, it made me clap my hands and jiggle my hips every single time. It has a great melody and production and Patrick nailed singing this one! By far one of the catchiest song off the album.
The 6th track, "Jet Pack Blues" has an alternative rock vibe and I love the catchy hook "I Remember, Baby Come Home" in the chorus. Although it has great quality and rock production, this song is my least favorite off the album. I don't know, every time I put the album on shuffle on my iPod I would simply like to skip this track.
Another heavy rock production track is "Novocaine". This track is such an anthem for post break-ups, where Novocaine means a drug or medicine which causes a part of our body to feel no pain. So this song basically means a range of anger towards someone and the lyrics add "So don't stop, don't stop 'till your heart goes numb/And now I'm just numb/I don't feel a thing for you".
And ladies and gentlemen, I smell another Fall Out Boy classic! "Fourth of July" might be a possible single because of its uniqueness among the others. If not, it may be one of the band's fan favorite too. I can pretty much visualize myself singing this song while fireworks above me are blasting in the sky. This is such a powerful and well produced song.
"And I’ll spin for you like your favorite records used to" sings frontman Patrick Stump in the 9th track "Favorite Record". This track is absolutely "rock friendly" and it's pleasant to the ears and it would most likely to tap your hands on your lap. And I love the ending of the song which brings a buzz-like sound and leads to a transition to the next song which is "Immortals".
"Immortals" which is the 10th track of the album and also the main soundtrack of the Disney animated film, Big Hero 6. I like this song a lot because it is radio friendly and has that pop-rock vibration. Again, Patrick's vocals are on point and the beat and the tune is arranged well.
Last but not the least is the hell-raising rock vocal "Twin Skeletons (Hotel in NYC)" which is the closing track of the album. Guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley surely made this song even better by playing their instruments professionally. And to be honest, I really have no idea what this song is about, but only the idea that it has something to do with a "Hotel in New York City".
Overall, this album is the bomb.com! LOL, I mean seriously, this is such an amazing rock album with both punk and pop elements. Despite of hearing nasty comments about the band, I still support their music no matter what. I would really love to watch them perform live on tour with this album sooner or later. And their music really released my inner "Rocker" (Hahaha!) I would like to give a big two thumbs up to the guys, where they've made another great and excellent record and I could not wait to buy the physical copy and the upcoming performances and singles as well!
